RECORDINGS
In fall of 1998, OONY released on its own Historic Label a CD of the uncut, live 1997 performance of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde at Carnegie Hall. Widely hailed as one of the most exciting opera experiences in New York that season, the cast features Heikki Siukola, plus Elizabeth Connell and Petra Lang. OONY’s numerous other recordings include many first commercial recordings of operas with CBS/Sony and BIS records. Eve Queler has also conducted the only studio recordings of Strauss’ Guntram and Boito’s Nerone on the Hungaroton label.
